One World Coffee Launches One World Ethical Sourcing Initiative, Expands Global Partnership

Company vows to strengthen fair trade and ethical practices.

[Baltimore, MD - May 5, 2026] — One World Coffee (NASDAQ: OWC) today announced the launch of the One World Ethical Sourcing Initiative, a comprehensive effort to strengthen fair trade practices, advance ethical labor practices, and improve transparency in its supply chain and sourcing practices. The initiative was built in partnership with Anti-Slavery International (https://www.antislavery.org/) and Fairtrade America (https://www.fairtrade.net), expanding third-party oversight and long-term investments in community initiatives designed to prevent labor exploitation.

This announcement follows the company’s acknowledgment of a recent breakdown in supply chain oversight. In response, One World Coffee promptly ended all such relationships and engaged NSF International (https://www.nsf.org/) to conduct an independent audit of all sourcing systems.

“Our foundation is that our products would be sourced ethically. We failed to uphold that value,” Rosita La Monstrua, Chief Executive Officer of One World Coffee, stated. “This initiative is a direct response to failures in leadership decision-making.”

The One World Ethical Sourcing Initiative includes several key actions, including: Additionally, the company has:

  • Independent third-party audits of all supplier relationships,
  • The development of a public, transparent reporting system,
  • Investment in community-based programming to help reduce exploitation and trafficking

One World Coffee will provide regular updates through its website and official communication channels.
